In 2019, Awe Creative worked with Telford & Wrekin Council to produce the Telford Education School Show (TESS) 2019, held at Enginuity, part of the Ironbridge Gorge Museums Trust. The full day event featured hands-on workshops and activities such as escape rooms designed to showcase ways to enhance teaching and learning and highlight the benefits of education technology.
Awe Creative managed all aspects of the show, from initial planning and concept design through to concept marketing, sponsorship and on-site project management.
Around 30 inspirational speakers were sourced from organisations such as Google, the University of the West of England and Promethean.
More than 150 people attended the event and feedback was universally positive. Attendee Ceri Little, a teacher at Clee Hill Community Academy, enthuses: “It was a really, really great day. The children loved the escape rooms. We’ve also arranged for different exhibitors to come into our school and speak to digital leaders personally.”
Kirsty King, commercial services manager: ICT at Telford & Wrekin Council concludes: “The event went really well, we had a fantastic turnout and the feedback we’ve had is that people have found it really interesting and informative and the kids that have come have found it extremely fun. This means the teachers that attended have been able to see what you can do with technology to enhance teaching and learning and make it interesting.”
